From 19–22 October 2025, we are delighted to invite you to Edinburgh, Scotland, for the Euroseeds2025 Congress, where we will be exploring the overarching question: “What future for seed trade and collaboration in the new world order?” Set against the stunning backdrop of Scotland’s historic capital, this Congress combines cutting-edge insights with a truly remarkable location. Edinburgh is not only rich in history and culture, but also a hub for agriculture, dairy production, and world-famous whisky: the perfect setting to discuss the future of our sector!

This year’s programme is packed with sessions on New Genomic Techniques (NGTs), Plant Reproductive Material (PRM), intellectual property and plant breeders rights and genetic resources, featuring an outstanding line-up of speakers from the seed sector, the European Commission, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs of the UK (Defra), Permanent Representatives from EU Member States to the UK, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and many others.

For traders and exhibitors, the Congress offers unparalleled opportunities to connect, showcase, and grow your business. The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) exhibition areas will be perfect for pitching products, exploring new technologies, and meeting potential partners.

The InnovAction Stage is back, featuring ten top finalists already confirmed. These emerging innovators are shaping the future of our sector, and their presentations are not to be missed.

We are also introducing the NextGen Forum, designed to bring students and young researchers face-to-face with industry representatives. This is a unique opportunity for the next generation of plant scientists to discuss ideas, ask questions, and explore career paths.

The Congress programme spans all major pressing topics for our sector:

  • IP protection and plant breeders rights;
  • PRM priorities for the seed sector;
  • Crop protection and CAP proposals on permanent grassland;
  • Organic seed regulation and market intelligence;
  • Plant genetic resourcesand benefit-sharing under ITPGRFA;
  • Market trends for oilseed rape, sunflower, soybean, and cotton.

Other highlights include discussions on EU-UK alignment post-Brexit (including the NGTs landscape and the Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS) Agreement), high-level panels on international trade and innovation, and the Euroseeds InnovActor Ceremony, celebrating outstanding talent in the sector.

Join us in Edinburgh to experience this unique combination of knowledge, networking, and Scottish charm!
